Jessica Hardy, one of the US’s Olympic swimmers, failed a drug test to enter the games. Hardy told the AP that she was “innocent”.

Jimmie Johnson edged Mark Martin for the pole in Sunday’s 15th running of the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Jimmie Johnson won the 2007 season championship.

Peter Crouch has been traded to Portsmith in the English Premier league. Peter scored more goals both for Liverpool and England’s national team in 2006/2007 but barley played for Liverpool in 2007/2008. Some had a feeling that he would leave to get more playing time elsewhere.

Michelle Wie forgot to sign her score card and was disqualified. Wie was second overall with one round to go when she apparently exited the boundaries of the scoring hut. Someone chased her down to get a signature but it was too late.
